TOO OLD TO BE A MOTHER

Do you think she is happy? Explain using her own ideas.
I think that she is happy, because she said that she felt more comfortable mentally and she felt more in peace and hall.

What does her daughter think?

She thinks that her mother is crazy and she was opposed to this treatment.

Do you think this mother made “morally right” choice?
The choice in this case is complicated, I have two points of view, first I think the fact to be a mom it’s wonderful, and “be a mom” is a right that every woman have. But at the same time, I think the woman is going to have a problem in the future, because this problem is going to affect the children, not when they are babies, but, when they are teenagers or adults, because the children aren’t going to have stable figure maternal, since their generations (those involve thoughts, believes, behaviours, etc) will have 60 years of difference.

Do you think she chose to have the babies thinking about herself or thinking about the babies?
I think she chose to have the babies thinking in herself, because she didn’t have precaution with her body and the most important, the babies’ health, and I consider that she made that decision, because probably she felt young.

Where did she have the procedure made?
She had the procedure in a clinic in South Africa who it helps to old women.

Why not in her own hometown?
In her hometown (USA), they refused to treatment her because her age.

Did she use her own eggs?
She was exposed to a fertilization treatment, and she used eggs donors, which they were frozen.

Do you think a woman her age should be allowed to have children?
A woman has right, but she shouldn’t, for health, since at this age, the woman and baby health is complicated and dangerous in the pregnancy, delivery, post delivery; and not only about physical health, but, psychological health too, specially by the child.

WHAT IF YOUR BABY IS GAY

Do you think the idea presented in the video is unethical? Explain. I think that it isn’t unethical idea in the point of view from a scientist, because I think that it is their job, I consider that they have to investigate the origin of everything, but at the same time I think it is unethical by medicine, because its job is to treat disease and disorders, and it isn’t qualified to treat any other topics such as sexual differences, since the world isn’t ready to have test to determinate if somebody is gay or not.

Do you agree with the position taken by the Christian families?

I agree with them, because I think that is a way that they can help their children; because I consider that any culture, that involves religion, customs, believes, etc, have a different way to support them.

Do you agree with the statement "to be gay is a gift from god"? Explain.

I TOTALLY disagree with the statement “to be gay is a gift from God” because I consider that to be gay is not a gene that you have in your ADN, I totally sure that it is a choice in you life, sometimes by many influences, in the majority of cases by media, other like family’s influence or just by the person’s choice.

SMALL GADGETS, BIG PROBLEMS

Do you think the information in the article is true, or it is just another typical American fear?
I think it’s true and I totally agree with the article, because nowadays young people have diseases on his hands like the “carpal tunnel syndrome” by little gadgets, that is very common on these days, and I don’t think that it is an American fear, because you can see this problem in the majority of countries.

What is RSI?
The real name is (repetitive strain injury) it is syndrome that is affected the hand, wrist, fingers and specially the thumb.
What causes RSI?
Digital Personal assistants (DPA) like cell phones, Sidekicks, iPods and inclusive write an e-mal, etc. Those things are the causes to create RSI.
What are the symptoms?
When gadgets like DPAs are abused (use several times a day for more than short intervals), they create chronic pain and injury, exists another symptoms like swelling, throbbing, and tendonitis on hands.

How can you prevent it?
It can prevent following these tips:
o Reduce the time you spend on you devices.
o Keep emails short and sweet.
o Instead of the keypad on your phone or PDA, try an external device, such as larger keyboard, to enter text.
o Take breaks at least every hour, especially if you feel physical discomfort.
o Practice good ergonomics: sit a chair with good back support, with your feet on the floor.

What devices are you attached to?
The cell hone, Xbox control, and keyboard’s computer are being attached by me to use more the last years.

Are you willing to give your devices up for the sake of your good health?
I’ll do it, but it’s complicated, because the majority of them and specially the computer (mouse and keyboard computer) and the cell phone, are tools that you use for necessity, but things like control’s console, I’m letting it.

What would you do if you were the director of Nokia, Apple, Sony, or Microsoft to prevent your costumers from suffering of RSI?
If I were director of some of those companies, I would support functions that people don’t use, for example, in some cell phones there are actions that you can active with your voice, and I would create cell phones without “keyboard”, like this, only you can control it with your voice.

If I were director of Microsoft, I would eliminate the keyboard, like this you can write your text with the “optic pencil”

What do you think companies are going to do against RSI?
I haven’t heard anything about accompanies do something against about RSI, but I think companies aren’t going to do things against this syndrome, because their products it’s going to be affected, for that reason I consider that they prefer sell their products, that built something healthy by the consumer.

MIND-MAP LANGUAGE

Do you think language should be organized in any particular way?

I think that it should be reinforced with some rules, for example, when people are writing on “messenger” or in the cell phone, they don’t have rules, for that reason some people are confused whit some messages, but having some rules and some cods, it’s easer to understand in some cases “abbreviations”.

Do you consider people should communicate in only one way???

I don’t consider that people should communicate in only one way, because I think that it is the special of people, is interesting to know a new culture with different things, and another reason is that is important to different us from the others.
With many languages that we have, we are discovered more, and for that, the abilities of humans have improved. For that reason I think that is good that people communicate in different ways.
